| Cherachanko, Paul William Sr. Sr., Paul William Cherachanko 82 01/25/1927 01/08/2010 Born to William and Martha Cherachanko in Philadelphia, Paul served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a sonar technician in the South Pacific. He married Doris Wolfinger in Bucks County, Pa., in 1950. The family moved to Portland in 1970. Paul was a pioneer in the frozen food industry and developed frozen products for Meyers Foods, Mrs. Smith Pies and Lamb Weston. In 1977 he formed his own food brokerage, Doraul Marketing, and worked until his passing. He was a member of the Chef de Cuisine Society, the Beaverton Elks and the Food Brokers' Association. Paul is survived by Doris, his wife of 59 years; children, Deborah Cherachanko, Pamela (Rodger) VanVoorhis, Paul (Sandra) Cherachanko Jr.; and grandchildren, Sasha, Marissa, Cody and McKenna. Paul died at home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. Many thanks to Providence Hospice for their kind and gentle care.
