Stovall, Lloyd Cole Lloyd Cole Stovall, age 72, of Anacortes, WA, passed away on May 12, 2010. The youngest of six children, he was born to Floyd I. and Ruby Ellen Stovall in Toppenish, WA. The doctor's bill was $24.37 - Lloyd still had the receipt. As a boy he lived in the Spokane, WA area, Waitsburg, WA, and eventually in California where he graduated from Monrovia-Duarte High School and attended Pasadena Junior College. He then married and moved his family up to Yakima, WA, Everett and then Anacortes. Lloyd worked for Sparkletts Water Co. from 1959-1967. Then for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company for nearly 20 years earning many honors and awards. In 1987 he and wife, Pat, started an Adult Family Care Home in Seattle, WA and in 1999 they moved everything up to Anacortes. In those 20 plus years many seniors benefited from Lloyd's love of people and love of cooking. Many thought Lloyd's hugs were the best. Even though people were Lloyd's main hobby, he also enjoyed RVing and especially taking his boat out on the water. Lloyd had a sense of adventure as he was always curious to see what was around the next bend in the road or in the next cove around the island. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Stovall; sisters, Jewell Ward, of Everett, Doris Donfried, of Poulsbo, WA, and Pearl Pagano, of Holland, MI; and brother, Wilbur (Wibb) Stovall, of Thorpe, WA. He also leaves behind sons, Gregory (Jane) Stovall, of Yakima, Bill (Sherry) Thomas, of Anacortes, Dan (Roseana) Thomas, of Concrete, WA, Charles Thomas, of Seattle; and daughters, Paula (Keith) Black and Denae Dorasi, both from Everett. He also leaves behind nine wonderful grandchildren who loved their "Grandpa Buddy" and numerous nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and his oldest brother, Jim Stovall, of Spokane. A celebration of his life will be held on May 29, at the Park Village Clubhouse, 2725 East Fir Street in Mt. Vernon, WA. All who knew Lloyd are welcome to this potluck. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd's name may be made to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, P.O. Box 19023, Seattle, WA 98109 or by calling 206-667-6121.
