Beachler, Versa Mattingley Marcus Versa Beachler passed away on May 26, 2010 at the Cheney Care Center. She was bornOctober 2, 1915 at St. John, WA to George Allen and AliceGertrude (Nelson) Mattingley, orphaned at an early age and raised by her uncle Jim Mattingley. She attended St. John grade and high school, graduated Class of 1934. She married her high school sweet- heart, Glenn William Marcus on June 8, 1935 in Moscow, Idaho. She attended Kelsey-Baird Business College, graduated with a major in office practice and accounting. She worked for St. John Caterpillar Co., owned by Ralph McConnell and for the St. John Café owned by the Bafuses. During Glenn'sillness they moved to Spokane, where she worked for the Grange Supply. After Glenn's death, she moved to Seattle and continued to work in her accounting occupation. At a dance she attended with her neighbor and sister, Millie, she met and fell in love with Ken Beachler. They were married on December 8, 1972. She greatly enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Glenn Marcus and Ken Beachler, her sisters Mildred Blomquist and Thelma Miller, one brother Allen Mattingley, and two grandchildren, infant Robert Wagner and Brian Erickson. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude of St. John; by her children and their spouses: Darlene (Fred) Wagner of Cheney, Gary (Judy) Marcus, Spokane, and Kathleen (William) Adams of SpokaneValley; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, thefamily suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
