Paul M. Casalegno April 28, 1951 - May 23, 2010 DALLAS - Paul
M. Casalegno, a resident of Dallas, Oregon died on Sunday, May
23rd in Salem Hospital. He was born on April 28, 1951 in Gilroy,
California the son of Bert and Daisy Casalegno. Paul grew up in
Gilroy and graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School and
later attended Gavilan Community College and the University of
San Francisco where he completed his Bachelor's Degree in
Psychology. He attended Portland State University and received
his Master's Degree in Special Education and later attended
Western Oregon University where he obtained his certification in
Speech Language Pathology and Augmentative Communication.
Paul married Mary on August 21, 1977 in Gilroy, California. They
settled in Dallas over 30 years ago. Paul has worked for the
Willamette Education Service District as a speech therapist for
21 years. Paul spent time working in many of the schools in the
Willamette Valley and has helped many students and their
families. Paul enjoyed hiking and the beach. He liked canoeing
on Devils Lake and the Willamette River. He enjoyed farming at
their home place. He loved spending time with his family,
children and grandchildren and was always doing things for
them. Paul was a wonderful family guy and the greatest
husband, dad and grandpa. Paul is a member of St. Philip
Catholic Church in Dallas. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary;
sons, Adam, Patrick, Steven and Jon Casalegno; daughter, Sarah
Pazina all of Dallas; mother, Daisy; brother, John; sister, Jean;
along with two grandchildren, Madison Pazina and Benjamin
Casalegno. A Funeral Mass will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, May
28th at St. Philip Catholic Church in Dallas. Private Interment will
be at the Dallas Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given
to the WESD Grant Fund to help special needs children. In care
