SZYMBORSKI, Mary Jane Born in Norristown, PA in 1932 to Herbert & Frances Hoy along with six sisters and brothers, Thomas, Donald, Jerry, Frances, Eleanor and Catherine. She joined the Air Force in 1952 where she met her husband, the late Joseph Szymborski Jr. They had two sons, Joseph A., born in Alaska, married Kathy Irene Jongblode and have two daughters, Kelly and Kristy. Their second son, John A., married Collette Arana and have two daughters, Jasmin and Morgan. The Szymborski's moved to Sacramento in 1969 when Joseph retired from the Air Force. Mary was busy with PTA, holding office for Will C. Wood Jr. High, Hiram Johnson High School and with the City Unified School District. She was one of the first Docents as a school teacher in the Old Sacramento School house in old Sacramento. She worked as a Manager for World Savings & Loan until she retired. She was a member of Moose Lodge, Chapter 762, South Sacramento; WPAC Chapter 24, Elk Grove, and Antlerettes of the Elks Lodge of Elk Grove.
