''Never Mind Rudy''

Born January 30, 1946 in Sacramento, CA. Passed away
peacefully on December 17, 2009 after a long
courageous battle from complications of diabetes. He
is survived by his loving wife, Delilah of 17 years,
daughters Elaine (Jessie), Angelina (Manny), Leila
and son, Albert (Imelda); grandfather of (5); his
sisters, Carmelita (Joe) and Edith (Jose). Preceded
in death by his parents, Carmen and Vivian Basquez
and brother Gerald T. Basquez. He leaves behind
numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
friends. Rudy was a retired truck driver after
working many years at Teichert Construction Company.
He loved classic cars and always had an ongoing
restoration project and was respected for his
devotion at car shows, the Compadres Car Club and
swap meets throughout CA. Loved by all at his Family
Reunion picnics. He had a passion for RV camping
everywhere and traveled to Mexico many times.
Dedicated to his football team, the 49ers, he will
be truly missed by his Chihuahuas at game time. He
worked very hard all his life and never gave up.
Known to everyone as ''Never Mind Rudy'', he will be
sadly missed by all who knew him. His memory of life
will always be cherished forever. His Catholic faith
became very important to him and had participated
actively with the Diocese of Sacramento. Family and
friends are invited to his Rosary on Monday,
December 28, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. to be held at Andrews
& Greilich Mortuary, 3939 Fruitridge Rd. Sacramento.
CA 95820. The Funeral Mass service will be at 12:00
noon on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at St. Paul
Parish at 8720 Florin Rd. Sacto. CA 95829. Interment
following Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 6700
21st Ave., Sacramento. CA 95820. Reception after
interment will held at St. Paul's Parish Hall.
