Sigler, Mary Louise 'Mary Lou'

86 05/11/1923 12/15/2009 Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Sigler,
of Beaverton, died Dec. 15, 2009, in Aloha. She was 86.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2010
to honor and celebrate Mary Lou's life. Mary Lou was
born May 11, 1923, in East Brady, Pa., to Ralph and
Louise Kulzer. Mary Lou earned her bachelor's degree in
English from Duquesne University in 1944, and her
master's degree in education from Pennsylvania State
University in 1948. In 1949, she married John Leo
"Jack" Sigler and they had four children. After living
on the East Coast for 10 years, the family moved to
Portland in 1959 where Mary Lou was a loving and
dedicated full-time mother. Mary Lou moved to Beaverton
in 1976 and spent part of her time as a volunteer
greeter at Beaverton City Hall. For years she was
active in the Multnomah Athletic Club where she enjoyed
volleyball, water and racquet sports. Mary Lou is
survived by three children, John Timothy Sigler,
Kathryn Louise Sigler and Christopher Lawrence Sigler;
and her only granddaughter, Jaime Elliott. She was
preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Elizabeth
Elliott. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Oregon Hospice Association in Mary Lou's name.
