| 53, of Palmer, died Nov. 23, 2009, at Alaska Regional Medical Center in Anchorage of complications from surgery. |
| A service will be at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 -11 a.m., Tuesday at Fairview Loop Baptist Church in Wasilla with Pastor Tom Hoffman officiating. After the service, burial will take place at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. |
| Jeannine was born Oct. 3, 1956, in Granada Hills, Calif. Jeannine served in the U.S. Army from 1979-1980 in the 9th Signal Battalion, and from 1980-1982 in the 533rd Transportation Company. She was stationed at Fort Wainwright from 1983-1986, and at Fort Eustis, Va., from 1986-1996. She returned to Alaska in December 1996. Jeannine was the base operator #10 at Elmendorf AFB from 1997-1999. She also worked at the 3rd Wing Supply, and the 3rd Medical Group. She worked for the National Parks, Department of Forestry and contracting at Fort Richardson. She graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a BSOE. |
| Family wrote: "Jeannine loved the outdoors, providing she had her comforts. She liked to fish, but would not touch the bait or fish. She kept her husband laughing. She was the love of his life through thick and thin. She liked wild game, providing she didn't know she was eating it. She liked shopping on eBay, and seeing the world. She always loved being with friends. She liked to talk, which her husband does little." |
| Her husband stated, "Jeannine loved life and God. Her son was the center of their lives. Losing him hurt, but together they were moving forward. She has gone to the "other side" to be with Cameron and the Lord. I miss her. We would like to thank all of our friends and our family. You all are the best. You have been there with us during both events, thank you!" |
| Jeannine is survived by her husband, Robert Carter; mother, Beverly Flannery; and brother, Mike Flannery. |
| She was preceded in death by her son, Cameron C. Carter, and father, Robert Flannery. |
