| Louis K. Jones Lou was born on May 28, 1919, in Finleyville, Pennsylvania, and married his childhood sweetheart, Cleo Moorman, in 1941. At Ebenezer Baptist Church in Monongahela, he served as Trustee and Deacon. In the Army, he served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. After Army retirement, they moved to Arizona, and in the Chapel at Davis-Monthan Air Base, he sang in the Brothers for Christ, taught Sunday School, was Chairman Deacon Emeritus, and often delivered the message for services and other occasions. In 2008, his beloved Cleo passed away, and health concerns led Lou to move to Houston with his daughter. In April 2009, Lou was admitted to the Houston VA Hospital, and there on Friday, December 11, 2009 God called him home. His memory is cherished by his daughters, Elizabeth (James, deceased) Minor, Marion (Ezekiel) Breaker and Dolores (Calvin) Callier; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one niece, other relatives and a host of friends and acquaintances. Funeral and interment will be in Houston, TX on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. The family requests no flowers, but donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association , 3003 S.
