Roseva Dorris Boucher,
92, of Manhattan passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in Belgrade. She was born eb.
25, 1917, in Pennville, Mo., to Pearl and Goldie Herndon. When Roseva was 6 weeks
old, the family moved to Belmont, Mont. She attended schools in Belmont, Bozeman nd
Manhattan.
In 1934, Roseva married and moved to Logan, where she worked at the Northern
acific lunchroom as a combination cook and waitress. She was also the timekeeper nd
pumper foreman for the Northern Pacific Railroad. In 1937, she attended Melba's
Beauty Academy in Lansing, Mich., and returned to Bozeman in 1938 to finish her
chooling at Anderson's Beauty School. Roseva operated the first beauty shop in
anhattan, where she employed three other operators. She also enjoyed bowling.
Roseva went to California in 1941, where she married Jack Boucher. While there, she
orked as a journeyman burner in the shipyards from 1942 to 1944. Together, Jack and
Roseva raised four children, Barbara, Jack, Gene and Joanne. Roseva was preceded
in death by her husband, Jack; and seven siblings, Edna, Shorty, Harold, Gene, ernon,
Ralph and Gerald. Survivors include her children, Jody (Rick) Rickman, Jack Leroy
Vici) Boucher, Gene (Helen) Boucher, and Joanne Leona Sharpe; grandchildren,
ouglas Rickman, Ronald Rickman, Jackie Rickman, Jamie Boucher, Robert Boucher,
teven Boucher, Danny Marshall, Denise Dooley, and Darcy Corbett; 17 great-
grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Marjorie
Matthis, Marguerite Campbell, and Wilma Harrison. A memorial service will be
announced at a later date. Memorials in Roseva's name may be made to Rocky
