Schweickhardt, Richard Lawrence

84, passed away with his family by his side on November
14, 2009. Born March 5, 1925, Richard was an Arizona
native graduating from North High School. He proudly
served his country in the United States Navy while
serving in World War II. He later went on to graduate
from Arizona State University in 1950. In 1952, he went
to work for Garrett AiResearch (now Honeywell) where he
worked for 34 years. Richard had many hobbies including,
camping, golfing, ASU football and taking care of his
garden. He also loved to take trips with friends and
family. After his wife passed, he volunteered weekly at
Hospice of the Valley. He is preceded in death by his
wife Peggie whom he loved very much. He is survived by
his sister Naoma, brother-in-law Bill, son Alan,
daughters Louise, Linda and Cheryl, son-in-laws Mike and
Roy, daughter-in-law Mel, 13 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held
December 2, 2009 at 11:00A.M. at First Presbyterian
Church, 402 W. Monroe Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers,
the family has requested that donations be made to
Hospice of the Valley. www.hov.org.
