DUNN, Marilyn G.

(Age 65) A long time resident of Hayden Lake, Idaho, passed
away Thursday, November 5, 2009 after a year-long battle with
cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Dunn
and mother Jerri Carey. She is survived by sons Stephen Dunn
and wife Michelle of Idaho Falls, and Michael Dunn and wife
Kimberly of Albuquerque; grandchildren Eric, Ellie, Craig, and
Nicholas; father Claude E. Carey of Seal Beach, CA; brothers
Mike Carey and wife Chris of Guam and Don Carey and wife Susan
of Hayden Lake. She was born in Long Beach, CA, and spent much
of her childhood in the orange groves that later became
Disneyland and in Europe where her father worked as an
aircraft inspector. Shortly after marrying her husband of
forty years, Marilyn and John moved to Hayden Lake where she
resided for thirty years. Marilyn loved children and besides
the love and unwavering support she gave her two boys, she
shared her love and compassion as a preschool teacher at
Friends Church in Hayden Lake, and later with disadvantaged
children while working as an occupational therapist with the
Central Valley School District in Spokane. Marilyn's passing
leaves an unfillable hole in her family and close friends'
lives but we all take comfort in the fact that she is now with
our Heavenly Father. Cremation has taken place.
