James A. Sullivan, 76, died at home on Saturday, November 7, 2009 surrounded by family. He was born May 4, 1933 in Fairbury, NE to Alvas M. and Elizabeth Bell Sullivan. The family moved to Chester, NE where Jim attended school and met his future wife in the 2nd grade. They were married during a tornado on June 4, 1955. He later graduated from University of Nebraska. Jim excelled in the insurance business, a strong competitor in many areas. He moved his family to Boise in 1963, where he was active in many civic, cultural and political activities as a vocal, lifelong Republican. Friends knew Jim to be an avid BSU and Nebraska football fan. Religion was a strong part of his life, participating in many activities at the Cathedral of the Rockies. His strongest influences were family and friends. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by wife Willa; daughter Jennifer Ober, son-in-law Michael Ober, grandson, Mathew Sullivan Ober, sister and brother-in-law Delores and Leonard Gano, sister Patricia Brauer and numerous nieces and nephews.
