| Fincher, Linda Jean departed on her last flight on October 23, 2009. She arrived on April 28, 1945 in Mesa, Arizona to Clyde and Ima Jean Fincher. Linda was raised in Higley, Arizona, on her family farm. Linda spent her career as a flight attendant for American Airlines and retired in Prescott, Arizona in 2000. Prior to her retirement, Linda was very active in her union, Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), representing up to 22,000 of her co-workers. During her career she held various positions in the union, including, San Diego Base Chairperson, a member of the National Board of Directors and negotiator. Linda was a strong union advocate with training for grievance and arbitration as well as negotiations training at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. Linda loved the ocean and sailing. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ima Jean and her infant nephew, Dakota Lee Fincher-Hines. Survivors include one brother, Clyde Jr. Fincher of Fredericksburg, Texas; three nieces, Gina Islas of Cottonwood, Arizona, Kristina Fincher of Prescott, Arizona, Teri Dahn (Ray) of Surprise, Arizona; great nieces and nephew include: Brittany Nikole Dahn, Yvonne Nicole Delgado, Brandi Jean Dahn, Anique Michelle Delgado and Nicholas Drane Dahn. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 30th at 10am at St. Catherine Laboure Church in Chino Valley, Arizona with Fr. Fred LeClaire officiating.
