Kevin Keith KEATING II
Kevin Keith Keating II was born on September 8, 1980 in Yuma, AZ and passed away on September 10, 2009, in Henderson, NV.
Kevin lived much of his life in the Reno/Sparks area and attended the following schools, Greenbrae Elementary, Dilworth Middle School, Reed High School, University Of Nevada, Reno. After Graduating from UNR with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Kevin worked as an Application Engineer in Carson City, NV, before relocating to the Las Vegas area to become an Associate Engineer involved in design of electrical systems for water treatment plants.
Kevin is survived by wife Michelle O'Reilly-Keating, of Henderson, NV; parents Kevin and Barbara Keating of Tacoma, WA; Grandfather Lloyd "Fran" Keating, of Yuma, AZ; Brother John Arnold (and family) of Sparks, NV; Sister Tawny Hernandez (and family) of Puyallup, WA; Uncle Charles "Jack" Hayes (and family) of Sparks, NV; Uncle Thomas Hayes (and family), of TX; Uncle Brian Keating, of Sparks, NV; Uncle Bruce Keating (and family), of Winnemucca, NV; Aunt Patricia Branstetter (and family), of Reno, NV; and Aunt Sarah Allsman (and family) of Yuma, AZ; et. al. Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Amos Hayes; maternal grandmother, Dortha Byl; paternal grand- mother, Barbara Keating; and aunt, Kim Keating-Bower.
Kevin suffered from Pulmonary Hypertension and was awaiting a double lung transplant and heart surgery at the time of his untimely passing. He will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him.
