Geiger, Jean M. 84 03/04/1925 10/01/2009 Jean was born in Scranton, Pa., March 4, 1925. She met and married the love of her life, George Geiger, in 1956. They moved to Portland in 1960. Jean spent most of her adult life volunteering her time to many organizations. She was a 30-year member of the Assistance League of Portland. She was an avid bridge player and a longtime member of Portland Golf Club. Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kit and Tim Dennis of Ridgefield, Wash.; and her brother, Bart Coffman of Melbourne, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; and her brother, Bob. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, in Valley Community Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception at Portland Golf Club.
