ADAME, JOE

Joe Adame, whose strong determination and courage served him to
the end of his battle with cancer, passed away September 3rd. He
has taken his final journey where he will join his Heavenly
Father, his father Emeterio and his first born son, Aaron. Joe
was born in a modest home in Otay, filled with an abundance of
love and care where he developed his trademark characteristics of
inventiveness, hard-work and generosity. Early on, Joe had
entrepreneurial abilities in many areas; when anyone was in need
of help, in any way, Joe was always "enthusiastically" there. As
a young boy, he helped build his family home, and continued to
update it throughout his life. He saved up to buy his first car,
a 1953 Ford low rider. About that same time, Joe met the love of
his life, Sharon Terry, and was immediately smitten by the young
woman whom he later walked through life with. Joe graduated from
Chula Vista High School in 1962; he and Sharon were married in
1965, and lived in Chula Vista until he built their home in
Bonita. Joe's father-in-law recognized his incredible potential
and encouraged Joe to enter the building trades, where he found
great success. Joe and Sharon went on to have many adventures and
traveled the world with friends and family. He also found great
joy in many outdoor activities. He was particular proud of his
two hikes to the top of Mt. Whitney. Joe is survived by his wife
Sharon, son Jared, grandson Jacob, mother Amelia, and his three
sisters Martha, Esther, and Rosie, along with a large extended
family, all who loved him very much! A Service will be held at
Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA on
September 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family
asks that donations be gifted to Mi Escuelita, at South Bay
Community Services, Attn: Erica Johnson, 1124 Bay Blvd., Ste. D,
Chula Vista, CA 91911.
