| HYLTON, Betty Arlene June 26, 1944 - Sept. 13, 2009 Betty Hylton, a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on September 13, 2009, as a result of heart failure. Betty was born in Missouri, but spent most of her childhood years in San Francisco. She lived in Marin County much of her adult life and moved to El Dorado Hills in 2002. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by her three children, Marty, Corinne Hegarty and Valerie Hanson, two stepchildren, Amy Lenderink and Paul Hylton, and nine grandchildren. Betty was devoted to all that she did including 20 years working at Marin General Hospital, loving and encouraging her children and grandchildren and her amazing faith that flourished through the community she had at Lakeside Church. Besides her family, Betty's last devotion was memorizing large passages of God's word and encouraging others to do the same. Her favorite verse was, ''When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty.'' Jeremiah 15:16. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, at Lakeside Church, 745 Oak Avenue Parkway, Folsom, Calif. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to World Vision International, worldvision.org or 1-888-511-6548. Published in the The Sacramento Bee on September 22, 2009 |
