Johnson, David S. 81, longtime resident and native of Peoria, Arizona died peacefully September 14, 2009 in his Sun City home. Dave served proudly four years with the United States Air Force and four years with the Air Force Reserves. He was a member with the Glendale Masonic Lodge #23. His career in construction and trucking spanned over 40 years with Salt River Project and Conway Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Katheryn L. Johnson, his sons Monty Johnson of Windsor, California and Cecil Fisher of Youngtown, Arizona. They were blessed with six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. Sun City, AZ 85351. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ. Published in The Arizona Republic on September 16, 2009
