Susan Vasey Moore 1960-2009 Our beloved Susan Moore, 49 of Boise, Idaho went home to our loving Father Friday, Aug. 28th, 2009 surrounded by her family. Susan was born in Cozad, Neb. May 19, 1960 to Bill and Mary Jane Vasey. She grew up in Cozad graduating from Cozad High school in 1978. Susan grew up on the farm and her family was a member of the International Flying Farmers. At 16 years old Susan soloed in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk giving light to the talented brave person she was her entire life. Following graduation from Cozad High School in 1978 Susan attended Colorado State University for a year and a half which motivated her to attend Prospect Hall a travel industry school in Hollywood, Fla. Susan first discovered her passion for travel in the fifth grade when she attended a travel course in Cozad. After completing her travel agent training she spread her wings to travel internationally for a full year when she joined "Up with People" in 1982; performing at the 1982/83 Super Bowl half-time show. Susan moved to San Diego in 1984 to work for a travel agency which is where she met the love of her life - John Moore in January of 1985. John was serving in the U.S. Navy then and after being married on July 11, 1987 in Cozad the Navy relocated them to Honolulu, Hawaii. On Jan. 8, 1990 their daughter Amanda was born in Honolulu and later that year after completing his commitment to the Navy John and Susan moved their family to Boise, Idaho. On July 22 of the following year their son Taylor was born. Susan worked as a well respected travel agent in Boise for many years and then later utilized her many skills, personality and compassion in the senior living industry. We will all remember her for her endless energy and love and ability to light up a room. Her love for her family was second only to her love for Jesus and she was an example of His character, strength and love to all of us who knew her.
