BROWNING, Duncan Linus (Age 102) Duncan, our beloved has "gone fishing" for the Great Golden Trout on August 30, 2009. He was born June 15, 1907 in Pueblo, CO and had been a resident of Spokane for 16 years. Duncan was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Lucia. Duncan worked on a ranch at age 14 in Fresno, CA. When he was 17 he was employed by Universal Studios in Los Angeles.Duncan later worked for Chrysler Corporation until he retired. Duncan attributed his long and healthy life to working hard, gardening, backpacking, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed reading and pastel art. When he was asked what his most memorable moment in the past 102 years had been Duncan replied it was when his father built a radio so everyone in his family could hear the new invention. Duncan has three children: Lindsay Browning, Garden Grove, CA, Marcia Bach, Camarillo, CA and Anne Bigham, Spokane Valley; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. These joyful little mountain streams go tumbling through my soul. Cleansing out man's mad world below. So clearly now, I feel I can commune with him who made me so. My thoughts while resting by a little mountain stream Duncan (1950) At Duncan's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers please contribute to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210. Please visit the online guestbook at spokesman.com to share your favorite memories.
