Kathleen BARNETT "Alvie's Mom" On June 29th Mom passed away. She was born in Pittsburgh in 1923, married Dad in 1946 and moved to Kent. Mom and Dad raised their 8 kids with occasional friends thrown in. She was preceded in death by husband Alvin, son Dick (Cy), daughters Billie Marie, Karen, and Maryann, a grandson and a great grandson. Mom will be missed by daughters Laura Moore (John), Diane 'Debby' Dodd (Jim), sons David Barnett (Debi), Alvie Barnett, daughter-in-law Sally Young, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 16 at 2:00 at the Covington Christian Fellowship, 26201 180th Ave SE, Covington, WA 98042. The family would like to thank Dr. Brian McDonald and all of the staff at Virginia Mason FW for years of help, guidance and support. We would also like to thank the Franciscan Hospice for the compassion, guidance and help provided to us. No flowers please.
