| BUTERA, JOSEPH ANTHONY August 11, 1953 to August 6, 2009 Born in San Diego to parents Joe and Jessie Butera. Youngest of four children, he grew up in a warm, loving Italian home. Joey, as he was known to his family, was adventurous and loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed sailing, camping in Yosemite, and riding three wheelers at his friends, the Ames', property in earlier years. He was very handy and made a career in construction. He was a faithful man who had a strong love for his family. He is survived by his wife Michele, children Joseph, Jessa, and Mendi, his niece Natasha, sisters Joan O'Steen and Jean Maschal, his Aunties, many nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog Bella. He now reunites with his parents, and sister Janice Holbrook. He will remain forever in our hearts. Friends and Family are invited to a celebration of his life. Viewing Sunday, August 9th, at Goodbody Mortuary on El Cajon Blvd. from 2 to 5 p.m. Mass service Monday, August 10th, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Navajo Road.
