Rice, Barbara Mackey Barbara Mackey Rice 78, passed away April 26, 2010 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Born February 6, 1932 in Louisiana, MO. Preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Ralph Mackey. She is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Steven, David and his wife, Jaci; grandchildren, Christopher, Raychael, Deven and Cody; sister, Virginia and her husband, Robert LaBerge. With a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri she spent many years teaching preschool and elementary classes, but since 1979 was a licensed realtor with Tucson Realty & Trust, then Long Realty where she partnered with son Steven and The Rice Group. She connected with people simply by caring and taking the extra step.
