Coz, Tom G.
Tom G. Coz entered into eternal life on Wednesday, April
21, 2010.
Tom was born June 5, 1923 in Yuma. He served during
World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was an aircraft
mechanic/ gunner. He returned home, receiving
honorable discharge in February 1946. It was then when
he met his soulmate Norma Buker, then married on
November 5,1950. He later worked for Yuma High School
as an equipment manager and then as a groundskeeper.
He retired after 35 years. Some of his favorite things to
do were taking vacations with his grandkids, gardening,
BBQ's, and watching sports on TV. He was a great
storyteller, and friend to all.
Tom was preceeded in death by his mother Guadalupe G.
Coz Sonoqui; stepfather, Joaquin Sonoqui; brothers,
Sonny and Richard Coz; sisters, Francis Amavisca and
Louise Seballos.
Tom is survived by his wife Norma; daughter, Patricia;
son, Tommy, five grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
Services were held Monday April 26, 2010 his final resting
place is Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude and
thanks to all family and friends that came together to
help with the services and reception. Tom will be missed
by all who knew and loved him.
