Millard, Bert Richard

Bert age 84 died April 28 peacefully at his home 
surrounded by his loving family. Born in Anacortes to 
Fred & Martha Mae Millard in 1926, he graduated from 
Ballard HS and served in the US Navy during WW2. Bert 
loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and 
hunter. He made his own rods, tied flies and repaired 
fishing reels, after retiring from Warshals Sporting Goods. 
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, Jack, & Fred 
Millard Jr., sisters, Lola France, Jerry Tangmo, great 
grandson Spenser Millard. Bert is survived by his loving 
wife Marjorie of 64 years, brother Howard & Bob Millard, 
sons Gary (Diane) Millard, Jay (Nancy) Millard, daughters 
Bonnie (PJ) Papnick, Gail (Ed) Reichelt, grandchildren 
Dennis (Debbie), Bradley & Holly Millard, Sarah (Paul) 
Gould, Rachelle Beard, Brian Papnick, Anthony, Corey & 
Brooke Reichelt, Thomas & Megan Millard. Great 
Grandchildren, Brandon Millard, Lily & Lauren Gould, and 
Meliah Papnick. Bert will be truly missed by his family & 
friends but not the 'fish.'
