Eggert, Jeanette Castleman
Jeanette (Gerhart) Castleman Eggert, 85, of Great Falls, a
retired registered nurse, died of natural causes Thursday
at Peace Hospice.
Her funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at Chapel of Chimes
Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Harrer and Shelley
(Dennis) Kuiper of Great Falls; brothers Dick Gerhart,
David Gerhart, Bob Gerhart, Daniel Gerhart and Ronald
Gerhart, all of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Amber
Broadbent, Travis Harrer, Heidi Chinwuba and Michael
Kuiper; and two great-grandchildren, Ryland Broadbent
and Kenadee Kuiper.
Jeanette was born July 5, 1924, in Tucson, Ariz., where
she was raised and educated. She attended Tucson High
School, and Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz.
In 1945, she married Harry "Lee" Castleman in Tucson; he
died in 1974. She then married William "Bill" Eggert in
1984, in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. He died in 2004.
Jeanette had various nursing jobs all over the U.S. during
her husband Lee Castleman's military service. She later
retired from the former Deaconess Medical Center, where
she served in many capacities, including assistant director
of nursing.
Jeanette loved dancing, gardening, cooking, camping,
shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Peace Hospice of
Montana.
