Sonya Lee Panas Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2009. She was born in Douglas, Arizona in 1934, traveled the world with her husband, Arnold, worked as a registered nurse for several years, and was dedicated to her family and her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Ramona Sawaya and her brother, Sam. She survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Arnold (Nonie); her children, Marc (Kristine) and Ramona, as well as brothers, Eddie (Marilyn), Fouad (Joanie), Robert and sister, Mona Jean. She was fondly known as "Sito" to her three granddaughters, Kathryn, Traci and Nicole Panas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Avenue at Magee with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 30, 2009 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Road.
