MOYER Barbara Ann (Age 90) Our dear Noni was born 01/15/1919 in Luzerne, PA to Simon & Margaret Lugar. She passed away peacefully ay home 07/15/2009. From her early childhood until two weeks before her death, Barbara was a hard worker and truly enjoyed physical chores. She loved to tell stories about working at the New York World's Fair in 1938. She and her husband of 62 years married secretly during that time because a condition of her employment was to be single. They eventually moved to southern California where she worked for McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) until her retirement in 1986. She and her husband moved to Spokane in 2002 to be close to family. Noni was preceded in death by five of her siblings, her husband, Louis A. Moyer, and one great grandson, Dalton Moyer. She is survived by her son, Louis C. (Amy) Moyer, Elk, WA; four grandchildren, Shawn (Naushad) Moyer-Ali, Woodinville, WA, Anyanise Moyer, Tacoma, WA, Casey Moyer, and Erryn Moyer, both of Spokane; 2 great grandchildren, Amani and Eli Ali; one brother, Andrew Lugar, Harding, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday 08/01/2009, 1:00PM at Covenant United Methodist Church, Spokane, WA. Published on 7/19/2009 Spokesman-Review
