Randall Wayne MELTON Randy passed away surrounded by family and friends on June 10, 2009 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his mother, Colleen England; his sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Bill Bender; his brother, Ric England; his niece, Jessica England and many dear friends. Randy was born on December 20, 1944 in Bethany, Missouri. He graduated from Southwest Harri son High School in 1962. Randy relocated to West Seattle in 1964. After 27 years, Randy retired from The Boeing Company in 2001. His co-workers note he was a shining example of profession alism, character and service. In retirement, he found the great joy of his life when he volunteered to tutor 3rd grade children at Alki Elementary. Randy was an avid sports fan, his favorite team was the Sonics. His other interests were travel, reading, playing cards and attending new movie releases. Randy was a life lover and he will be remembered for his great sense of humor, generous nature, and compassionate loving heart. A Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date.
