Ronald B. Andersen
Ronald B. Andersen passed away after a long illness on June 25, 2009. Ron was born
October 5, 1938 in Los Angeles to Hans Peter Andersen who immigrated from
Denmark, and his mother, Mary Stagg. Ron attended North High School in Torrance,
California, and at the age of 18, Ron signed with the Boston Red Sox # he was later
traded to the San Francisco Giants. He was a tall drink of water at 6'5 ½" and an
outstanding pitcher.
Ron is survived by his wife, Dr. Barbara Andersen; children, Erik Hans Andersen, Dana
Andersen Babik, Tish Marie Paolino, Kris Anthony Paolino; and his seven
grandchildren, Katie, Jake, Megan, Kaylee, Kade, Abigail and Bret. He also leaves
behind the many children and friends who knew him as "Mr. Andersen" from his 25
years at the Stanwood/Camano School District.
He was known by all of us as a gentle soul who loved his family, children, having fun
and sports. He will be deeply missed.
Please join us for a memorial celebration which will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July
12, 2009, in the Sundin Room at the Camano Island Senior Center.
