| Born in Manhattan Februrary 27, 1933, she succumbed to hip fracture complications June 23, 2009. Nina was an avid reader and lifetime student of history and politics. She treasured her Russian heritage and was a fan of the ballet. Her gourmet cooking and style made her a natural hostess. Nina is survived by her high school sweetheart husband of 57 years, Richard who practices Ophthalmology in San Carlos. Nina lovingly raised three sons, Robert of Seattle, a captain for United Airlines, Eric, a cardiologist in Stockton, and Kenneth, in IT in Houston. She is also survived by daughters-in-law, Lynda, Karen, Wendy, Dora Patricia, Mandy and Dian; sister-in-law Elaine Light; nieces, Lizabeth Perry Light and Karen Light and nephew Kenneth Light . She leaves two granddaughters, Alex of San Jose, and Sara of Dallas. Nina will be sorely missed. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the ACLU or Second Harvest Food Bank. |
