Quintenz, Anna Soza
Anna returned home on June 10, 2009 and is survived by her husband, Chris and
daughter Casey Bone (Mike) and son Travis. Anna was born on December 1, 1958 in
Tucson, AZ to Hank (deceased) and Grace Soza. She was the oldest of 6 children
and will be missed by her brother Henry (Adriana) and sisters Leticia Gaxiola (Gil), Mary
Jean Lopez (Steve) and Theresa Mendel (Kevin), many nieces and nephews and
godchildren. With her passing, she joins her brother Ron (Lettie). Anna spent 30 years
in dentistry, loved her job and was respected for her knowledge in that field. Her
Catholic faith was everything to her; from RCIA and the Lenten Fish Frys to cooking on
the parish teen retreats to Cursillo and Christ Renews His Parish. Anna lived in several
houses in Phoenix but her home was at St. Thomas the Apostle. Family gave Anna her
greatest joy. She was happiest when surrounded by her brothers and sisters, aunts and
uncles, Nana and Tata and her husband and children. Anna would just as soon as
argue with you as have a conversation and she remained a fighter to the end. We'll
miss hearing the "Be my little baby bumblebee" song, playing jacks, your laugh, and
your hugs and kisses. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, from 6:00-8:00 pm,
with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School
Road. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 17, at St. Thomas the
Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell, Phx. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anna's name to the
Society of St. Vincent de Paul St. Thomas the Apostle Conference.
