GREENSBORO # Mrs. Joann Cairns Mazurek, 71, passed away on Saturday, June 6,
2009, at High Point Regional Hospital.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, at St. Paul the
Apostle Catholic Church with Reverend Robert Rivers and Reverend Tony Gilborges

extensively, and was an avid golfer, one of few women to hit two holes-in- one.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Mazurek, with whom she would have
shared 50 years of marriage in July; daughters, Sharon Damare of Charlotte and
Cynthia Ball of Raleigh; sister, Judy (Jim) Bischoff and brother, Wilfred (Mary), Cairns,
both of Pittsburgh; and her treasured grandchildren, Landon Barfoot and Bryan and
Samantha Ball.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 7 p.m. tonight, Sunday, at Hanes- Lineberry
Sedgefield Chapel.
