BRADEN, Oliver William
Born in Missouri on June 18, 1919, and entered rest May 31, 2009. He is survived by
his sister Helen, sons Larry, Jeffrey, John, and Patrick, daughters Nilene and Mary.
Oliver was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a
loving uncle and friend to many others. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of
49 years Tillie, his son John, his sisters Dolores and Vera, and his brother Donald.
Oliver graduated from San Juan H.S. and was a World War II United States Marine
Corps veteran who earned the Purple Heart defending our freedom. He later retired
from the State of California after building many of our highways. Oliver was a great story
teller who loved to travel, fish and garden. We have lost one of the best people around
who shall be missed very much. A viewing will be held 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday,
June 7, and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, both at
MOUNT VERNON MEMORIAL PARK, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
