MANZANILLA, JOSE "JOE" JUSTO,
92, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born in Habana, Cuba, and was a Georgia Tech Mechanical Engineering Graduate of 1942. He moved his family to the United States in the 1960's. He resided in Mobile, Alabama and was also a resident of Tavernier Key, Florida. He was widowed and is survived by six children, Irene M. Manzanilla, Jose Justo Manzanilla, III, Carlos M. Manzanilla (Darlene), Jorge Manzanilla, Elena M. Manzanilla- Johnson (John), and Bernardo "Benny" Manzanilla ( Betty Jean); two sisters, Margarita Olivares of Pennsylvania and Elodia Kendall of Puerto Rico; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, and other relatives. A Resurrection mass will be celebrated from St. Timothy Church on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at 6:00 p.m.. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
