| A. Enid Brown GRASS Passed from our world unexpectedly during the night on April 16, 2009. Born Jan 2, 1928 in San Luis Obispo, CA. Enid was the eldest child of Herbert A. Brown &M. Helen Clayton Brown. After graduation from Ballard High School in 1945 worked for Puget Power then Green Construction. She was a purchasing agent for building some of the Alaska Pipeline road. In Sept of 1988 Enid married Emory Grass. They lived in Lake Forest Park. She was always the problem solver and confidant for so many. A visit with Enid could make anyone feel better about themselves and the world in general. We will be lost without her, her sense of humor and view of life. Enid was active with Ikenobo Chapter and treasured continuing her study of traditional Japanese flower arranging. She volunteered each week with Northwest Kidney Center where both her mother and husband were once patients. She is survived by her brother,E. Zane Brown, & his wife Verla, of Anacortes and other family David C. Brown, Edward & Sandra Galbraith, Brian & Autymn Galbraith, Trey & Honour. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery; sister, G Lorleen Young; mother, Helen Collins and father Herbert Brown. Enid aided many charitable groups to protect animals.At her request, there will be no service. A celebration of her life will take place on Sat May 23rd,1-3:00 pm at Lake City Elks Club. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Northwest Kidney Centers Foundation, PO Box 3035, Seattle, WA 98114 or SPOT (Saving Pets One at a Time), PO Box 211, Burlington, WA 98233.
