| Georgia MENDENHALL Georgia Mendenhall passed away at the Newport Hills Family Home on April 13, 2009. She was 99. Jo was born in Elberton, WA on October 5, 1909, one of nine children. She graduated from Kelso WA High School in 1927 and married Thomas O. Mendenhall on April 15, 1933. Tom and Jo lived in Longview, WA for 60 years where they raised their three children. They were long-time members of Trinity Lutheran Church where Jo served as president and secretary of the XYZ club and the quilting group. She was very active in her children's lives, serving on PTA, Brownies, Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls and YMCA. Tom passed away in 1985. Jo moved to the Seattle area in 1993 and joined Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland shortly thereafter. She lived independently until 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Carr of Redmond, WA, son, Jeff Mendenhall and wife Terri of Sammamish, WA, and daughter, Amy Jones of Redmond; grandchildren, Kelly Carr and wife Cindy of Fresno, CA, Jodi Carr and husband Jeff of United Kingdom, Scott Mendenhall and wife Kim of Redmond, WA, Tim Mendenhall of Redmond, WA, Andy Jones and wife Marlene of Renton, WA and Thom Jones and wife Rian of Charlotte, NC and Sara Mendenhall of Boring, OR; great grandchildren, Zack, Kambyll and Kellyn Carr, Makena Mendenhall, Madison Jenner, and Tavo Jones. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on April 21st at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 10021 NE 124th Street, Kirkland, WA. For directions, see www.flintofts.com.
