Hamp, Ruthie Mae "Mama Hamp" (Age 70)
Passed away April 13, 2009 in Spokane, Washington. Born August 20, 1938 to Nicholas and Julia Avan in Hayti, Missouri. Ruthie organized the Spokane March for Jesus in 1993. She received her Master's of Divinity, graduating Cum Laude, in 2002 and was also ordained at the Full Gospel Mission for All Nations that same year. She is survived by her sisters: Roberta Loche, Willie Mae Cosby, Joyce A. Smith, Ella Pinky Dye, Mary L. Suggs; brothers: Robert Barnes, James E. Johnson, Frances Johnson, Ivan E. Barnes; son, James R. Hamp; and granddaughter, Jessica Jamie Hamp. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bishop C.E. Hamp; brother, Joe Barnes; mother, Julia Mae Davis; and grandfather, Jimmy Martin. Visitation will be held from 2:00 till 6:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Full Gospel Mission for All Nations, 1912 E. 1st Ave., Spokane, WA.
