Stella M. Castaneda
Stella was born to Joe and Jennie Leon on April 3, 1952 in Gilroy, CA. She went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by her loved ones on Feb. 16, 2009 after a 3-1/2 year battle with cancer. She enjoyed being a loving wife, mother and friend to all who knew and loved her. Her special interest was being with family and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She was very proud of them and loved them dearly. She loved her family unconditionally and a piece of them went to heaven with her. She is survived by her loving husband of 37-yrs., Sam, her 3 sons Samuel, Jr. (Elsa), Johnny, Richard (Deya), 4 grandchildren Anthony, Stephanie, Richie and Makala, mother Jennie, brother Richard, sisters Sally, Gloria and Joann. The loss of Stella has created a hole in us, only to be filled with many wonderful memories she helped create, and the faith and love she has given us all. Services: 10am on Fri., Feb. 27th, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 14601 A St. S., Tacoma, WA 98444.
