Gordon PUGEL Gordon was born on Oct. 24, 1952 to Stanley and Jean Pugel in Seattle, Washington and passed away March 14, 2009. His father was an electrical engineer and WWII vet and his mother's career was at the Veteran's hospital. Much of Gordon's growing up years was in a single-mother household with a younger sister, Mary Lou and a younger brother, Ron. Gordon met Mara, his wife and best friend when they both worked at Nordstrom. They shared a wonderful adventure over the next 34 years. Their life together was a filled with love, laughter, and devotion to their wonderful son Christopher - who some say he is a "chip off the old block" Gordy, Mara, and Christopher's love included us all - a true blessing to be a part of their lives. Gordy's life will continue to bless the entire Pugel family as his Spirit continues to bless us daily. Gordon succumbed to a very rare cancer that took his life swiftly. During his ordeal of an operation and therapy, he held us all up with is unflagging sense of humor and the grace with which he accepted the end of his earthly journey. He drew amazing strength from his faith. While we know he will always be with us in spirit, we miss our dear Gordy so much.A memorial service will be held Friday March 20th at 2:00 pm at St. James Cathedral in downtown Seattle.
