Chavoya, Jaime D.
Jaime "Jimmy" D. Chavoya, age 48, passed away Sunday,
April 4, 2010. He was born in Yuma on April 26, 1961 to
Javier and Sara Chavoya.
Jimmy was a diesel mechanic for many years. He loved
to listen to music and always thought about others
before himself. He was a family man, and a friend to all.
Jimmy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved
him.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Sara Chavoya of Yuma;
wife, Patricia Chavoya; daughters, Roslyn (Ian) Mitchell of
Waco, Texas, Andrea and Natividad "Nati" Chavoya both
of Yuma; sons, Jimmy (Alicia) Chavoya Jr. and David
Chavoya both of Yuma; sisters, Maria (Mario) Chavoya of
Yuma, Betty (Gregg) Sharp of Phoenix, Arizona, Becky
(Ruben) Chavez and Veronica (Daren) Griffin all of
Vancouver, Washington; brothers, Jesse (Esther) Chavoya
and Ruben Chavoya both of Yuma; 7 grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Javier
Chavoya.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary Thursday,
April 8,2010 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. with a
rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at Immaculate
Conception Church on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
Jimmy's final resting place will be at Desert Lawn
Memorial Park in the Meditation Garden.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Chavoya Jr., David Chavoya,
Jesse Chavoya, Ruben Chavoya, Ruben Chavez Jr.,
Freddy Lugo.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Chavez, Jose
Pescina and Javier Reveles.
