Noblett, Jane Ellen

Jane Ellen Noblett, 74, died April 23, 2010, with her
family by her side at Providence Alaska Medical
Center.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St.
Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2901 E. Huffman Road. A wake
will be held after service at the family home, 12126
Wilderness Lane. A visitation will be 3-6 p.m.
Thursday at Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home, 11621 Old
Seward Highway.

Jane was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Kansas City, Mo. She
grew up in Grain Valley, Mo., where she met and
married William Noblett in 1956. They moved to
Oklahoma before she made Alaska her home in May
1962. Anchorage was where she loved and raised her
family.

Jane enthusiastically excelled in her Amway business,
achieving her goals and then some. Jane was a strong
advocate for children's rights, specifically those of
neglected or abused children. She was a woman of
many talents and interests. She loved gardening,
landscaping, horseback riding, coin collecting,
interior design and cake decorating. She had a
passion for graciously hosting birthday parties, block
parties and major holidays. She loved storytelling,
snipe hunting and kidnapping miscellaneous family
members for road trips and life lessons. Jane spent
the last several years writing a book about her
adventurous life and the tribulations of raising her
family. She was a unique and spiritual person, a loving
mother, grandma, great-grandmother and friend.

Jane is survived by her daughters, Bethena, Kelly and
Kathryn Noblett; grandchildren, Danny and Joanna
Noblett, Christina Schmitt, Patrick and Marie Noblett,
James Werkema, Billy Noblett and Marissa Noblett;
great-grandchildren, Anthony, Daniel, Nicole, Alex,
Krystal, Jacob and Katelyn; and good friends, Jim and
Sandy Flasher and their children Tabitha, Tiffanee,
Tarrah, Tanya, Harvey and Albert. She was was
eagerly awaiting an expected grandson.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband,
William Noblett; parents, Jim and Bea Casey; sister
and brother-in-law, Joan and Ronnie Gardner;
brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Evelyn Casey;
brother, Jimmy Casey; aunt, Lou Doss; best friend
and godson, Sandy and Mike Wagner; and many other
beloved family members and friends.

Donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's
Hospital in the name of Jane Ellen Noblett.
