Naillon, Fred Eugene Fred Eugene Naillon age 72, passed away April 9, 2010 at a local care center. He was born December 13, 1937 in Belleview, Idaho to Fred and Lavonia Naillon, the third of seven children. As a child he moved with his family to Boise where he resided all his life. Fred started working at the age of 14 for the Little Sheep Co. of Emmett, ID. After two years he went to work for the Garden Valley Ranger Station as a Fire Fighter Smoke Chaser telling them he was 18 to get the job. At 17, Fred joined the U.S. Navy and served for 6 years taking him throughout the Pacific with a 1 year stint on Guam. After his discharge from the Navy, Fred started an apprenticeship with several drilling companies thus enabling him to get his drilling license. He worked in Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Montana and the Hawaiian Islands for over 30 years drilling for water. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved teaching young children how to fish sitting beside them on the banks of mountain streams. Later in life Fred kept busy buying and selling almost anything. He liked to barter and his happiest moments were "making a deal." Surviving him is his brother, Johnny (Marilyn) Naillon and sister, Jan (Leon) Benson and their families, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Kenneth and Ralph and two sisters; Valetta (Ron) LeBlanc and Grace Frostrom. His family will be greeting everyone at an open house memorial in the Reception Center at Cloverdale Funeral Home on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
