James Lawrence GINN

James Lawrence Ginn was born in Maysville, Missouri on December 6,1929 to
Elizabeth and Kessler Ginn. He graduated from Maysville High School, William Jewell
College in Liberty, Missouri and received a Masters Degree in Physics in 1956 from the
University of Kansas. He married Ruthe Steffen on July 12,1952 and served in the
Army S&P. His illustrious career at BF Goodrich in Akron, Ohio culminated as Director of
R&D in Engineering. After his retirement he volunteered teaching adults to read and
computer skills to seniors. Jim loved his churches. He belonged to Bethany UCC in
Ohio for 49 years and served on Consistory as Deacon and Elder. Since moving to
Seattle, he belonged to Cedar Cross UM in Mill Creek and loved the Spirit there. Jim
died suddenly at home but his family and friends know how fortunate they are to have
shared in the life of one who loved them so much, gave his all for us and shared his
humor with us. He is survived by wife Ruthe, son John, daughter Lisa, grandchildren
Meg, Hannah, Alan and Craig, brother Harland, sister Carol Harris, nieces, nephews,
cousins and many good friends. His body was given to Alzheimer's Research.
