Myrtie K. Mehlhoff
A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, in Macy & Son Funeral Directors for Myrtie K. Mehlhoff, who died Dec. 28, 2008, at age 83.
Myrtie Kreder was born Oct. 7, 1925, in St. Charles, Mo., and moved to Carlton at age nine. She graduated from Carlton High School. She was a cook for Yamhill-Carlton High School and a librarian for Yamhill Grade School. In 1944, she married Herbert Mehlhoff; he died in 1981.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Schild; son, Stephen; sisters, Marjorie Spooner, Ruby Lucas and Ilene Hougham; brother, Wendell Kreder Sr.; and two grandchildren.
