Robert H. Meyers Sr.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, in Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel for Robert H. Meyers Sr., who died Jan. 20 at age 81.
Robert H. Meyers was born July 21, 1927, in Ridgway, Pa. During World War II, he served in the Navy in the South Pacific. He moved to Portland in 1948, to Sherwood in 1958 and to Crooked River Ranch in 1986. He was president of Western Foundry. In 1946, he married Adelle Huston; they divorced. He married Nadine Burke in 1980; she died in 2003.
Survivors include his daughters, Debora Henson and Sandra Crawford; son, Robert H. Jr.; stepdaughter, Debra Prescott; sister, Jean Lyle; brother, Dick; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. His daughter Mary Collins died in 2007.
