Henderson, William Jackson (Jack)

89, passed peacefully into rest on March 6, 2010, in
Flagstaff, AZ. Jack was born December 12, 1920 in
Phoenix, AZ to William E. and Amada (Moore)
Henderson, also Arizona natives. He served as a
fighter pilot in the US Air Force. Jack flew P38's and P
51 Mustangs in the South Pacific during World War II.
He reenlisted as a Captain when the Korean conflict
began. Jack completed his military career as a Major.
He was a member of Local 469, Plumbers and Pipe
Fitters Union working primarily in the Phoenix area
until his retirement when he moved to Flagstaff. Jack is
preceded in death by his wife of more than 60 years,
Betty E. Henderson. He is survived by his son William
P. Henderson, sister Wilma Nell Robertson, of Bisbee,
AZ and two grandsons. He is to be buried at the
national Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
