Cota, Jose M.

Jose M. Cota 78, passed away peacefully at Saint Mary's
Hospital in Tucson. Jose was born and raised in Durazno,
Arizona. He was one of six children born to the late Jose and
Ursula Cota and was the beloved husband of Mary L. Cota for
over 53 years. Jose will forever be remembered by his
devoted brothers, Trini, Sr., Nacho, Elias, Lencho; loving
sisters, Chayo and Tota; beloved children, Frank (Sylvia),
Fermin, Fernando, Fabian, Freddy (Joann), Felix (Cecilia) and
Fausto; treasured grandchildren, caring in-laws, and countless
other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Cota honorably served our great country during the Korean
War, and was active in local Veteran activities. Jose loved
listening to music, playing the accordion, laughing, and being
with family and friends. Jose touched the lives of many
people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his
trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Visitation
will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to
10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South
Chapel), with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Friends and family
are also invited to attend a Mass on Monday, March 29, 2010
at St. John's Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at
