Dorsey, Marilyn C. Segle (Age 74) Passed away peacefully in her sleep March 20, 2010 in Spokane, WA. She was born October 1st, 1935 to Floyd (Red) and Aune Segle in Chehalis WA. Marilyn was an only child raised in Olympia, WA where she attended Olympia High School. There she was the head majorette and graduated in 1953. She went on to attend Washington State University where she was the only woman ever to be accepted on a footballscholarship. She was not a football player but the head majorette that led the band at all of the Cougar football games. She was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. She married Tommy W. Dorsey and moved to Tekoa, WA where she taught baton twirling lessons. She was a member of the Tekoa P.E.O. She and Tommy raised a son and a daughter in Tekoa before they divorced and she moved to Reno Nevada. She worked at Harrah'sCasino for many years before moving to Spokane to be near her children, where she worked for Washington Mutual and Travelers Insurance until January 2010. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her son T.A. Dorsey and her daughter Dana Hale, T.A.'s wife Erin and daughter Delaney, Dana's daughters Cassidy and Fallon.
